A Day at the Museum

I've lived in London for almost 10 years and yet I've only been to the British Museum once (and that was when I was still a tourist). I love the fact that museums in the UK are free. However I definitely don't take advantage of it as much as I should.
As my sister just arrived in London, we decided to visit the British Museum on a weekday. When we arrived at the museum at around 11am, there was a huge queue of tourists, school students and visitors waiting for security check. Luckily there is a special fast track queue for families. As I was pushing a pram, we were able to fast track through.

The museum is very busy even on a weekday with school groups and tourists. Pushing around a pram was not always easy through the tight spaces. However people generally move out of the way and there is step free throughout the museum. It was probably easier to use the baby carrier though.

I propped 🥟into the semi-recline position. He is only 5 months however has good head control, so I let him sit up for short periods of time in the pram. He thoroughly enjoyed the museum visit and was awed by the different sights and sounds. It really tired him out though as he napped very well after!

The Great Court Restaurant
My sister got a Groupon deal for a 3 course meal at The Great Court Restaurant. The restaurant is modern dining with a more relaxed atmosphere that is catered well for families. There is plenty of space for buggies and high chairs. There is also a children's menu. Meanwhile adults can enjoy their meal and some wine.

1️⃣ Close to station with step free access: Central London is not the best for step free access tube stations. However it is well serviced by buses. We caught a bus and it was only a short walk from the station. British Museum is completely step free.
2️⃣ Baby Change Facilities: Yes
3️⃣ Space for buggy: Yes
4️⃣ High Chairs: Yes
5️⃣ Breastfeeding convenience: Yes, there are some chairs in the baby change rooms to use. Alternatively there are many benches in the foyer or you can enjoy coffee/tea or lunch in the cafes or restaurant.
