My parents had come over from Australia to visit and to see 🥟. They come often and so they've seen most of London. However they hadn't been up to the Sky Garden in the Walkie Talkie building before. I had organised for free tickets to visit the Sky Garden in the morning. However when it came to lunch, I was at a loss of where to go! Most places in the city are dominated by the big chains. Also, my dad (being a very typical Chinese) prefers eating rice. Luckily my friend recommended that I check out Bloomberg Arcade as all new restaurants have opened there. That's when we stumbled upon Kym's Restaurant.

As soon as you walk through the door of Kym's Restaurant, you are greeted with a large cherry blossom tree towering over the bar. The restaurant is split level with a few steps going down to the main ground floor area and also a staircase leading up to the second floor. There are also a few tables on the left which are step free.

We went on a Tuesday lunchtime and the restaurant was full of city workers. A friendly staff member helped me through the door with my pram. She rearranged some seats in the left of the restaurant (the step free area) so we had space for the pram. Our area was the "family friendly" corner. There was also another table with a toddler enjoying their lunch.

The food at Kym's is a bit of a modern spin on traditional Chinese cuisine. We ordered the Three Treasures which included roast pork belly, char-siu BBQ pork and roast chicken. The quality of the meats were exceptional. We also ordered the Wagyu Beef Bao.

There were two dessert items on the menu: Pineapple Bun/Custard and Peanut Mochi with Mango Sorbet. I couldn't resist but to order both of them!

Pineapple Bun is my favourite bakery item in Hong Kong. It does not contain any pineapple in it, rather it is a soft sweet bun with a crunchy top. The name is refers to the top resembling a pineapple.

Peanut Mochi is one of my favourite desserts. They served it with Mango Sorbet at Kym's which gives the dessert a tangy, sweet, crunchy and soft sensation.

By the time we finished our lunch, I was rolling out the restaurant. 🥟 passed out as well as he was exhausted from watching us eat!

1️⃣ Close to station and step free access: Unfortunately the tube stations in the City of London are not really buggy friendly. However the restaurant is only a 15min walk from London Bridge Station and close to bus stations.

2️⃣ Baby Change Facilities: Yes

3️⃣ Space for buggy: Yes, the staff are very accommodating and will create space for buggies.

4️⃣ High Chairs: Yes.

5️⃣ Breastfeeding convenience: Yes.

📍19 Bloomberg Arcade, EC4N 8AR

Verdict: Not just for City workers, it is baby friendly too!
