My first Mother's Day! Despite the cruel joke of the clocks moving forward on Mother's Day, it was actually lovely and special day. Even the sun was out! 🥟 was such an angel all day. He showered me with giggles and smiles. He even let me enjoy brunch in peace as he napped for almost the entire time. He woke up when we were having our desserts and he sat there peacefully playing with his toy.
We celebrated Mother's Day with brunch at Pachamama East in Shoreditch. This has got to be one of the tastiest brunches I've been to in London. The fusion between Peruvian and Asian flavours work so well together. The venue itself is trendy yet baby/kid friendly. It ticks most the boxes with the exception of baby change facilities.

There is an a la carte menu as well as a set brunch tasting menu. In order to have the tasting menu, everyone on the table had to agree to it. I opted for brunch tasting menu. My husband and sister had to oblige. We started off with some snacks including patron peppers, pork belly and caramelised aubergine to die for! This was followed by sea bass ceviche and yellow fin tuna.
Finally we got the waffles. We ordered two savoury waffles and one sweet waffle to share. The smoked salmon, poached egg on a sweet potato waffle was definitely my favourite out of the savoury options. We also ordered a roasted mushroom, fried egg on a quinoa waffle. For the sweet option, we ordered the peanut butter, grilled plantain on charcoal waffle. (Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge peanut butter fan!) The charcoal waffle is gluten free. I'm not usually a fan of gluten free food, however this one was delicious! The waffle was crunchy which was balanced with the softly grilled plantains.
I was so full up by the end of the brunch, you could've rolled me out the door! As it was such a lovely sunny day, we went for a digestive walk around Spitalsfield Markets.
