About

Hi! I'm Kei and this is a diary about my explorations of London and of the world as a mother.

I am a self-confessed travelholic that suffers from major itchy feet syndrome. This means I'm constantly on the look out for new places to explore, be it restaurants, cafes, cities, villages, beaches, mountains... you name it! Pre-baby I had visited 62 countries!

Since becoming a mum in late 2018, I've realised travelling and eating out requires a lot more planning and research. I need to make sure there is step free access, enough space for my buggy, baby change facilities, high chairs, convenient for breast feeding. Winging it is no longer a viable option.

My passion for travel really stems from my childhood. I was fortunate enough to start travelling at a young age with my parents. Through our family holidays, I got the opportunity to see different cultures and try different cuisines. Now that I'm a parent, I plan to expose my son to as much travel and different cuisines as possible so he can grow up with the passion for exploring.

Our family is a fusion of Chinese-Australian and Italian backgrounds. My husband and I plan to raise a multilingual family. My husband speaks Italian and I speak Cantonese. I may occasionally post about our experiences managing multilingualism. My son is nicknamed "little dumpling" because of his har-gao shaped chin.

I hope you enjoy reading my posts and it gives you ideas of where to take your little one.  I welcome any suggestions. Please feel free to contact me.
